Hit-and-run into north Chico home hits child's bedroom

The Chico Police Department is looking for a vehicle and its driver in relation to a north Chico early morning hit-and-run.

CHICO, Calif. - A vehicle hit a Chico home at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, crashing into a bedroom belonging to a young child. That child was not injured during the crash. Chico police officers are still looking for the vehicle and its driver.

The crash happened on the 100 block of Commonwealth Court in north Chico.

Chico police said when they arrived at the home they started an investigation, saying that an unknown vehicle collided into the bedroom before leaving the scene, making the incident a hit-and-run.

There is no description of the vehicle that crashed into the home in the early morning hours, but officers said it should have front end damage.

The Chico Police Department wants to hear from anyone with information regarding this incident.
