CORNING, Calif.- A high-speed pursuit through Corning late Tuesday night ended with two men behind bars.

Corning Police were in the area of Houghton Avenue and Gallagher Avenue around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. There, officers say a black Chevy Impala left the area at a high speed.

The officers say they activated their lights and tried to pull over the car. Police say the car did not pull over and led the officers on a 3.2-mile chase. The chase ended at Rawson Road and Moran Road.

Officers arrested the driver of the car, 30-year-old Richard Paul Guttridge Jr. of Corning. He was booked into the Tehama County jail and is facing charges of felony pursuit and possession of a controlled substance.
