GLENN COUNTY, Calif. – Health officials are reporting the first coronavirus related death in Glenn County.
Health officials announced Wednesday the resident lives in the north part of the county and is over the age of 70. The resident passed away in the hospital after an extended stay. The resident had multiple underlying health issues, according to public health.
“We are saddened to announce our first death of a resident from COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this difficult time,” said Dr. Jared Garrison, Health Officer.
As of Wednesday, 29 Glenn County residents are currently positive for COVID-19, 26 are isolated at home and three are hospitalized. 190 Glenn County residents have contracted COVID-19 since March; 160 people have since recovered.
