SHASTA Co., Calif. - Some heavy rain, partnered with a hailstorm, went through Shasta County Friday night which left some damage to cars due to the large size of the hail.

Those in the area told Action News Now the storm came quickly and rolled through just as fast.

"I'd say it's about the size of a quarter, maybe a bit more, and they were dinging up the cars. It was coming down pretty hard," said Cameron Watts. "You could hear a thump on the ground."

A tornado warning was issued for the county at 8:15 p.m. and expired at 9 p.m.

Redding Electric also reported that more than 700 customers lost power because of the storm.
