CHICO, Calif. - Hundreds of Camp Fire victims waited in line to pick up some comforting relief at Cathy's Sew and Vac in Chico on Wednesday.

The relief came in the form of quilts, which Annie's Star Quilt Guild put together for victims of the Camp Fire.

The guild reached out to quilt makers across the county and received more than 900 quilts to give away to those in need.

"It's like an extra little hug from the community too," said Alta Neal, Paradise resident and Camp Fire evacuee. "I think it's special what these people have done this for us. We've had so much love and caring in the Chico community, taking on us Paradise refugees."

A guild member said they are still taking quilt donations and will continue to give quilts until the supply runs out.

High clouds are streaming over northern California on this final day of the workweek, and light showers are trying to fall over the mountains. It is warmer today despite the clouds, and it's going to get much warmer soon.
