RED BLUFF, Calif. - Every year the Red Bluff Round-Up draws in around 31,000 people. This year, which is the 98th annual event, organizers are expecting 600 competitors to show off their rodeo skills at the Tehama District Fairgrounds. It is considered one of the biggest rodeo events in California.
The annual event is a big boost to the economy in Tehama County. Organizers told Action News Now reporter/anchor Cecile Juliette that the rodeo generates more than $6 million every year.
It takes 1,500 voluteers to put it all together. The gates open at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, and at noon on Saturday and Sunday.
