Gov. Newsom says California has lowest positivity in the country

On Monday, Gov. Newsom said California has the lowest positivity rate in the country. The state's coronavirus website says California currently has a 1.6% positivity rate.

CHICO, Calif. - On Monday, Gov. Gavin Newsom said in a tweet that California has the lowest positivity rate in the country.

The state's coronavirus website says the average positive testing rate over the last seven days is 1.6% in California.

The state reported 190,179 total tests, 2,112 cases and 21 deaths for data received from Sunday, April 4.

As of Monday, the state has administered 19,894,885 total vaccines.
