Gov. Newsom declares State of Emergency due to Lava Fire and Beckwourth Complex

Gov. Newsom declared a State of Emergency on Friday for Siskiyou, Lassen and Plumas counties.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Gov. Gavin Newsom issued a State of Emergency in Siskiyou, Lassen and Plumas Counties due to the fires in those counties.

The emergency comes after the Lava Fire and Beckwourth Complex Fire destroyed homes and caused evacuations and damaged infrastructure.
