Frugal House to benefit North State Symphony

Unique fundraiser takes place Friday and Saturday.

Posted: Jun 7, 2018 6:53 PM

As many as 700 people are expected to take part in the Frugal House Fundraiser for the North State Symphony. It takes place Friday June 8th and Saturday June 9th, in a brand new Epick Home in North Chico. It's in the Sycamore Creek Development at 2855 Silkwood Way off of Floral Avenue.

Designers and artists will come together to decorate every room in the home, and even the yard, using re-purposed items that are donated.   Visitors can then tour the home for DIY decorating ideas that are affordable, sustainable and tasteful.   The featured items are for sale at reasonable prices.  They stay in the home until Sunday, when buyers can pick up their purchases.

Opening Night on Friday features a street party starting at 6 p.m. with delicious food, live music and a no-host bar.  Ticket holders get the first chance to view the decorated home, and the first opportunity to buy what's inside.  Tickets to the Friday evening event are $40.

An all day open house follows on Saturday ... and tickets are $15.

For ticket information visit the North State Symphony page here

This is the main fundraiser of the year for the symphony, which is based in Chico and Redding, and performs in communities throughout  Northern California.
