Northern California weather has been dry and warm lately, and that pattern doesn't look like it's going to change anytime soon. Sunday temperatures reached into the low 70s in the Valley, after falling around freezing the night before. Expect more of the same with frigid overnight lows, but quick warm ups during the afternoons.
Nothing but sunshine in the forecast as strong high pressure dominates the western half of the country. This will continue to provide us with the dry weather as it pushes any and all moisture and storm systems well up to the North. The second full week of December will see more of the sunny and warm weather. Valley highs will continue to push into the 70s through most of the week, about 15-20° above the norm for December which is right around the mid 50° mark.
Right now this pattern doesn't show any signs of weakening. Models seem to indicate this pattern will stick around until closer to Christmas. We'll see what happens as we head towards the new year.
