Free Straw Wattles Available to Control Erosion at Paradise and Yankee Hill

The Butte County Resource Conservation District is giving away free straw wattles, a fabrication of poles interwoven with slender branches.

PARADISE, Calif. - The Butte County Resource Conservation District is giving away free straw wattles, a fabrication of poles interwoven with slender branches.

They will be distributed in the town of Paradise at Paradise Alliance Church located in 6491 Clark Road and in Yankee Hill at the Yankee Hill Hardware Store on 11300 Highway 70.

Although there is a giveaway, the conservation district is asking for volunteers and train also landowners on how to install wattles correctly.
