COTTONWOOD, Calif. - Four people were arrested in Cottonwood after an initial call of verbal altercations with citizens which led to a probation search.
Around 9 p.m. June 29, deputies were called to an area regarding Mathew Roy Miles, 37, for verbal altercations. When deputies arrived Miles could not be found. Due to previous arrests, deputies believed Miles to be at a home on the 3800 block of Country Estates Drive, which belongs to Bradley Wayne Jordan, 44.
The two were previously arrested and convicted in October 2018. Miles for possession of a controlled substance for sales and Jordan for possession of ammunition by prohibited person and maintaining a residence for drug sales or use.
With knowledge of Miles previously being at Jordan's home, deputies conducted a probation search as to locate Miles and verify Jordan was abiding by his probation terms. Miles was seen attempting to jump a fence and flee before deputies quickly caught him.
Inside, Jordan was located along with Jessica Rose Wright, 41, and Rachell Charlie Landis, 28.
During the investigation, drug paraphernalia was found throughout the home and on Jordan.
Record checks showed Wright to be on parole for residential burglary and she and Landis had theft-related warrants for their arrest. It was determined Miles was under the influence of a controlled substance and he was arrested for public intoxication and violation of probation.
Jordan was placed under arrest again for maintaining a residence for drug sales or use as he had been arrested for in October, as well as two additional charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation.
All were booked into the Shasta County Jail.
