Forget Black Friday, Downtown Chico to host Small Business Saturday

CHICO, Calif. - This weekend you'll find great holiday deals at your local stores for Small Business Saturday, on Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Downtown Chico Business Association is hosting a Shop Small Welcome Station on the corner of Main and 3rd Street in Downtown Chico. Those who attend can pick up a free tote bag, warm up with some local coffee and fill up on Woodstock's pizza.

The city said shoppers who make a purchase at participating Downtown businesses can stop by and show their receipt for a chance to win a $100 Downtown Chico gift card.

The following small businesses participating this year include; 5th Street Clothing Co. they said those who follow their Facebook and Instagram should expect to see specials.

A Beautiful Life Furnishings, at 250 E. 1st Street. Sip hot dark cocoa with peppermint & delicious treats, look for home decor and more at A Beautiful Life Furnishings

Always Elegant Bridal on 236 Broadway Street. Enjoy mock-tails and treats while shopping an amazing collection of wedding dresses, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Birkenstock 333 Broadway Street. There will be In-store specials on select items & lots of gifts with purchases, plus cookies for shoppers.

Chico Children's Museum at 325 Main Street, get a10% off Membership, one day only.

Dimensions Hair Salon at 810 Broadway said they will have 25% off all hair products. The hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For Elyse at 228 Broadway, they are advising shoppers to watch their Facebook and Instagram for a great sale.

Gabrielle Ferrar Diamonds at 241 Main Street Princess. They are dropping prices low on their cut .25ct Diamond Stud Earrings in 14K WG Was $420.00 Now $179.00.

Made in Chico at 127 W. 3rd Street Douglas Keister, author of People, Places & Pieces of Paradise will be in store. Those who attend can get an autographed copy of his book.
