Flash Flood Watch issued for Dixie Fire, North Complex burn scars

The NWS issued a Flash Flood Watch for the Dixie Fire and North Complex burn scars late Thursday night into Friday morning.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the Dixie Fire and North Complex burn scars, according to the National Weather Service Sacramento.

The NWS said possible ash and debris flows could occur between 11 p.m. Thursday through 11 a.m. Friday as heavy rain is expected.

People in the area should be prepared to evacuate if told by local officials.

Areas included in the flash flood watch are Highway 70, Greenville, Berry Creek Area, Feather Falls area, Highway 162 and Highway 89.

Debris flows could contain rock, mud, vegetation and lose materials.
