PLUMAS COUNTY, Calif. – Plumas County Public Health officials announced Tuesday its first positive coronavirus case.
Health officials said they were notified of a positive coronavirus test result from Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center for a resident in the east area of Plumas County. Public Health is investigating the case to determine if any other residents may have been exposed.
Exposed residents identified throughout the investigation will be contacted by a member of the public health COVID-19 response team for screening, according to health officials.
Public health officials said they’re urging residents to follow the stay-at-home guidelines from Governor Gavin Newsom.
