OROVILLE, Calif. – The Noon Rotary Club of Oroville announced the 4th of July Fireworks Display will once again be lighting up the sky this upcoming Independence Day.

The event will take place at 9 p.m. and will be launched from the Oroville Airport. The public is encouraged to observe the show from their yards if possible, or higher locations throughout the city and surrounding area, according to the rotary club.

To observe public safety, there we will not be a centralized gathering place.

The display will be visible from the foothills, Forebay, Afterbay, as well as higher elevations within the city, the rotary club said. The goal is to present the display from a safe area, and make the display visible to as many people as possible from their home, surrounding public areas, as well as the foothills and anywhere there is a clear view of the airport zone.

The public and local businesses are encouraged to help support the event by making donations at Lake Oroville Fireworks Facebook Page, through the Oroville Chamber website and Facebook page or by sending a check to the following address:

Rotary - Fireworks, P.O. Box 6227, Oroville, Ca. 95966. Individuals with questions about donations to the Oroville Fireworks display call 530-538-2542.
