Firefighters responding to vegetation fire near Oroville

CAL FIRE crews are at the scene of a half-acre vegetation fire near Oroville on Wednesday.

OROVILLE, Calif. - CAL FIRE crews are at the scene of a half-acre vegetation fire near Oroville on Wednesday.

Fire officials first reported the fire around 9:45 a.m. in the area of Shady Oaks Drive, south of Oroville. 

Fire officials said that forward progress of the fire stopped just before 10 a.m. 

Crews are still at the scene continuing to clean up.

The last two days saw quite a bit of rain in Northern California. Today we could see more but the showers look to be more isolated today than in previous days. Highs today are expected to reach the upper 50s to lower 60s.
