UPDATE 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2019 - The Glenn County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman found dead inside a burning building in Orland on April 25.
Authorities found Christina Hicks, 50, of Orland, dead inside of the building on County Road 15 in Orland. They determined that Hicks was living in the building that caught fire.
The investigation is ongoing. Authorities have not determined the cause of the fire or whether foul play was involved.

UPDATE 1:55 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2019 - The Glenn County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate remains found in a burned shed in Orland on April 25.
Authorities have not released the identity of the remains found, however, they did classify the remains as an adult woman.

UPDATE 10:52 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2019 - Authorities found the remains of one person in a shed that burned in Orland on Thursday morning.
According to the Hamilton City Fire Department, the fire broke out just after 7 a.m. on Thursday on Country Road 15.
Investigators found the remains of one person inside the building. It has now been taped off as a crime scene.
The Glenn County Sheriff's Office is leading the crime-scene investigation. Stay tuned for updates.

The fire has been put out and crews have left the scene.
