Crews stop forward progress on Oroville fire; One person in custody

UPDATE: Cal fire and city fire have stopped forward progress on a fire at Table Mountain Boulevard and Grand Avenue.

Update: 3:45 p.m., July 7, 2019: Action News Reporter Amy Lanski has learned one person has been taken into custody following the one-acre burn.

There were no injuries reported and photos show one car burned by the flames.


Update: 3:30 p.m., July 7, 2019: Cal Fire says the fire was in an olive orchard on the corner of Table Mountian Boulevard and Grand Avenue.

Oroville Fire called Cal Fire to assist with the flames.

Forward progress has been stopped.

OROVILLE, Calif.-- Cal Fire says a fire broke out just after 2:20 p.m. Sunday near Grand Avenue in the City of Oroville.

The fire is moving with a slow rate of progress.
