Firefighters knock down structure fire in East Oroville

Fire crews are mopping up a structure fire in East Oroville.

OROVILLE, Calif. - Firefighters have knocked down a structure fire in East Oroville, according to CAL FIRE Butte County.

Fire crews will remain at the scene for one to two hours to gain full control and mop up. 

When crews arrived at the scene, they saw heavy fire in the attic space and the fire burned through the roof. 

Crews were able to knock down the fire and save personnel items.

The fire was located at 330 Lausen St. and broke out at 3:24 p.m., according to CAL FIRE. 

CAL FIRE said there are no injuries and the fire is under investigation. 

Firefighters are calling it the Lausen Fire.
