Firefighters battle Country Fire

Firefighters are battling the Country Fire in El Dorado.

EL DORADO COUNTY, Calif. - Firefighters are battling a vegetation fire called the Country Fire in El Dorado near the community of Cool about 40 miles northeast of Sacramento.

The fire started Tuesday, Sept. 3 around 1:30 p.m. CAL FIRE's most recent update on Sept. 5 at 8:50 a.m. said the fire has burned 85 acres, 65% containment and forward progress on the fire has been stopped.

Four structures have been destroyed and two injuries were reported, evacuation orders have been lifted.
