CORNING, Calif. - Firefighters are still trying to figure out what caused a shed to catch fire in Corning overnight.
Firefighters got the call just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday night.
When they arrived on the scene they found a shed fully involved in flames off of Highway 99 and Donovan Avenue.
Quick action kept it from spreading to a nearby home.
"When I saw the fire and the smoke coming over the houses down there I thought for sure we were going to have to evacuate, said Machele Clark, a witness of the fire. "I got everything ready. It was very scary."
Nobody was injured in the incident. The cause is still being investigated.
