Fire reported southeast of Stirling City

Cal Fire Butte County is responding to a fire southeast of Stirling City.

BUTTE COUNTY, CALIF. - Cal Fire Butte County is responding to a fire southeast of Stirling City.

At 6:20 p.m. Tuesday Information Officer John Gaddy described the fire as fairly small with a slow to moderate rate of spread.

Gaddy said it was reported at about 6 p.m.and is burning near the "130 R line" ... a logging road.

Hand crews and aircraft have been dispatched. So far there is no immediate threat to structures.
