OROVILLE, Calif. - The Oroville Police Department has arrested a possible suspect in connection with the fire. The woman's identity has not been released by officials.

Fire crews are responding to a structure fire on Grand Ave. and Table Mountain Blvd. in Oroville.

The fire started in an unoccupied apartment complex that was under construction, according to the Oroville Fire Department.

Businesses to the west and complexes to the south of the fire were evacuated. People can now return to their homes, Oroville Fire Department Chief Chris Tenns said.

A red flag warning for the area pushed crews to jump on the fire quickly to avoid it spreading.

Flames from the fire grew to almost as tall as palm trees, according to the Oroville Fire Department.

There are no reported injuries from the fire.

Officials are still following multiple suspicious fires in Oroville over the past few weeks but do not know if this fire is connected. The complex had cameras so officials will be looking into footage from the scene.

It was nice to receive some rain and mountain snow around northern California late Sunday and early Monday. Thankfully a change to our overall weather pattern is underway, and many more chances of rain are coming!
