Modoc County's Juniper Fire reaches full containment

The U.S. Forest Service said the Juniper Fire is now fully contained as the fire is 1,011 acres.

MODOC COUNTY, Calif. - The Juniper Fire has burned 1,011 acres in the Modoc National Forest, according to the U.S. Forest Service. 

The fire started about 17 miles west of Davis Creek near South Mountain Reservoir.

The U.S. Forest Service said the fire is 100% contained as of Friday.

Dry conditions, warmer temperatures, and gusty north winds will drive high fire danger and a Red Flag Warning across most of northern California Monday. Winds will diminish and temperatures will warm up on Tuesday. We'll stay dry and heat up later this week. Cooler temperatures then return for your weekend.
