The warming trend will continue across Northern California today and will ramp up this weekend. We're getting our first real taste of spring-like weather across Northern California for 2019 over the next few days. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny, and we'll be staying dry through your weekend. Temperatures have dipped into the 30's to 40's again in the valley overnight, and are starting out in the teens to 20's in the mountains for your Friday morning. Skies are expected to stay mostly clear today, and winds will only be up to around 10mph out of the North. High temepratures will end up in the high 60's to low 70's in the valley this afternoon, and mountain areas are projected to top out in the 50's to 60's later today. All around, today looks like a great day to get outside.

The warming trend and dry weather will continue through the weekend. Valley areas will start out in the 40's over the next few mornings, and will top out in the 70's over the next few afternoons. High temperatures could top out in the mid 70's in some areas of the vally for St. Patrick's Day on Sunday. The warm and dry weather will persist into the start of next week, but there are some changes on the way after Monday. Clouds will return to Northern California on Tuesday, and temperatures will not be quite as warm. Some models are hinting at the chance for showers returning as early as Tuesday afternoon, but it looks more likely we'll have wet weather returning on Wednesday. Showers from that system will linger into Thursday, before a stronger wet sytsem looks to take hold of Northern California towards the end of next week. Make sure you take advantage of the pleasant weather while it lasts this weekend!

It was a bright and breezy Friday for northern California, however the wind has been much stronger over Modoc County where a High Wind Warning is in effect through this evening. Stronger wind and cooler air will define our weather Saturday.
