Fawn Fire forcing evacuations in area east of Portal Inn

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office issued new evacuation orders Friday morning.

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. - The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office issued new evacuation orders for the Fawn Fire.

The orders are for all roads east of Interstate 5 north of Old Oregon Trail and north to Shasta Lake.

These orders are east of Portal Inn.

People in the area should leave immediately and people can go to the Chuch of the Nazarene at 2225 Bechelli Lane in Redding.

The Fawn Fire is 5,850 acres and is 10% contained.
