Fatal car crash on Highway 99 leaves one dead

TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif - The California Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash on Highway 99 near Vina Road that claimed the life of one person, early Saturday morning.

TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif - The California Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash on Highway 99 near Vina Road that claimed the life of one person, early Saturday morning.

According to CHP, officers responded to the incident just after 5 a.m. in Tehama County and preliminary reports indicate that a sedan might have been involved.

The fatal crash completely closed the highway for some time, but both lanes have since reopened according to Cal Trans.
