MARYSVILLE, Calif. - On Thursday just before 4 a.m. the Marysville Police Department responded to the 300 block of A St. in Marysville regarding a shooting, according to the MPD.

MPD said the male victim was shot multiple times in the torso and taken to the emergency room by ambulance.

The victim suffered major injuries but is expected to survive. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived and Marysville detectives were called out to assist with the investigation.

After further investigation, the suspect was identified as Da’Marrea McCoy-Gordon, 29, of Fairfield.

Light scattered showers are on tap for the start of your Thursday, and I'm tracking heavier rain ahead from Thursday afternoon through mid day Friday. We'll have a lull in our wet pattern late Friday through early Saturday, but even heavier rain and snow will return this weekend and persist into next week. Major travel impacts will be possible across northern California from this wet weather.
