MARYSVILLE, Calif. - On Thursday just before 4 a.m. the Marysville Police Department responded to the 300 block of A St. in Marysville regarding a shooting, according to the MPD.
MPD said the male victim was shot multiple times in the torso and taken to the emergency room by ambulance.
The victim suffered major injuries but is expected to survive. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived and Marysville detectives were called out to assist with the investigation.
After further investigation, the suspect was identified as Da’Marrea McCoy-Gordon, 29, of Fairfield.
MPD issued a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) for McCoy-Gordon’s arrest for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
On Monday, the Fairfield Police Department located McCoy-Gordon and detained him, according to MPD. The Marysville Police Department picked up McCoy-Gordon from Fairfield and transported him to the Yuba County Jail.
He was then booked into jail for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
