UPDATE 12:30 p.m. Nov. 14, 2018 - Action News Now reporter Christina Vitale spoke with FEMA representatives who told her that Pleasant Valley Baptist Church will not be the permanent location for its intake center.
FEMA set up there for evacuees that are already at the shelter. They are currently working on finding a permanent location for the intake center.
They ask that people not go to the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church location. Those needing assistance should call the hotline at (800) 621-3362 or register online.
CHICO, Calif. - FEMA representatives have set up at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Chico to help Camp Fire victims.
President Trump signed the major disaster declaration on Monday, following Governor Jerry Brown's request, which provides federal emergency aid to California.
FEMA opened its doors on Wednesday at 9 a.m. to Camp Fire victims and will be available until 4:30 p.m.
Anyone who has experienced disaster or destruction as a result of the Camp Fire can register with FEMA.
Even if you do not know the status of your home due to the fire, you can still register with FEMA. However, it's important to know that when you do know the status of your home, you need to communicate that with FEMA.
