The wind was already gusting to 45 mph in Redding Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., and Jason advises that much stronger area-wide wind is coming.
The strongest winds for most of our region will blow from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon.
Residents are advised to prepare an emergency evacuation plan now. Be prepared for power outages and downed trees.
The strongest winds of the season are predicted. Valley gusts of 40-50 mph are expected. The mountain and foothill wind gusts could get up to 70 mph or more.
