OROVILLE, Calif - The Estom Yumeka Tribe is giving away salmon on Wednesday as a part of its annual giveaway.

Crews from the tribe harvest the salmon eggs at the Feather River Fish Hatchery every year and then hold a salmon giveaway to share the rich bounty with the community.

If you want to get in on the feast you can pick up a frozen filet at the Enterprise Rancheria at 2133 Monte Vista Ave. in Oroville.

The event started at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

The tribe asks that those looking to get salmon to bring their own bags or containers.

Gusty winds and very dry conditions will drive high fire danger across northern California on Thursday. We'll also end up much cooler on Thursday afternoon. Lighter winds, hotter temperatures, and more widespread impacts to air quality are ahead for Friday and Saturday.
