Chico, Calif. - In celebration of National Mental Health Awareness Month, Soroptimist International of Chico is hosting a free public workshop called "Erase the Stigma of Mental Illness" on Thursday, May 10th from 6:30 - 8 :45 p.m. It will take place at Manzanita Place (The Chico Elk's Lodge) 1705 Manzanita Avenue.
People who attend will be invited to take part in open dialogues about mental health issues and support that is available. Panelists will share their tips for being present in the everyday life of work and family while coping with mental illness.
A wide variety of community organizations will also be at the event to provide resource information and refreshments will be served.
