Posted: Mar 19, 2018 7:04 PM

The 3rd annual Encore Paradise! Variety Show takes place Saturday, March 24th at 7 p.m., at the Paradise Performing Arts Center on Nunneley Road.

It's a fundraiser for Friends Benefitting the Ridge, which donates the proceeds to area non-profits. Today it has distributed $12,000 to six local agencies.  This year's show will benefit Butte County Search and Rescue, the Paradise Police Officer's Association "Shop with a Cop" program for area youth, and the Paradise Performing Arts Center.  Representatives from the groups will have the opportunity to present information about their causes to the audience during the evening.

Talented people from all over Butte County will perform in the show, including a Symphony Quartet, a Blues Band, Circus Gymnastics and a trio modeled after the "Andrews Sisters" ... complete with a 17 piece big band.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $5 for children under 12. You can purchase them in advance at Wilson Printing, PIP Printing, PostNet, Paradise cinema 7 and EventBrite, as well as at the door.

For more information you can call (530) 327-7211.

Rain showers and a good chance for thunderstorms are on the way for your Friday night and Saturday forecast. We'll also be much cooler and have gusty South winds this weekend. Some showers are possible early next week, but dry and warmer weather returns for the middle of next week.
