TRINITY COUNTY, Calif. - Caltrans District 2 has initiated emergency work at two locations on SR-299 W between Big Bar and Junction City.
The areas experienced slide activities which required District 2 Maintenance crews to clear more than 500 cubic yards of debris at each location.
Caltrans says that motorists can expect one-way traffic control operations with up to 20-minute delays between Powerhouse Road and Valdor Road, just west of Junction City, as well as one-way traffic control operations with up to 20-minute delays between Helana and Big Bar beginning Friday, Jan. 18, 2019.
Emergency work will be done daily between the hours of 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Traffic control operations will continue through the overnight hours with 5-10 minute delays.
