BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - Butte County Public Health has granted approval for a third school to allow in-person instruction.
Last week, the coronavirus case rate in Butte County saw a decline. Butte County Public Health (BCPH) then granted approval for two school waivers allowing for in-person instruction.
Now, BCPH is approving an additional elementary school. Oroville Christian School, has met the requirements and been granted approval in alignment with State guidance and standards, BCPH said in a news release.
Health officials said they are reviewing all remaining school waiver applications.
Moving forward, if additional schools are granted approval, the status of their waiver application will be posted on the Butte County COVID-19 School Reopening website. BCPH said the website can be viewed to learn which schools are granted approval in the coming days and weeks.
