Early morning fire destroys home, RV and outbuilding in city of Shasta Lake

The homeowners were not there at the time of the fire.

CITY OF SHASTA LAKE, Calif. - A destructive early morning house fire in the city of Shasta Lake destroyed three structures on Wednesday morning.

A Shasta Lake battalion chief says the call came in at 5:30 on Oct. 7 to the 5100 block of Fort Peck Street.

Firefighters arrived to also find an outbuilding and RV on fire.

The flames were knocked down within a half-hour but all three structures were total losses.

The homeowners were not there at the time of the fire.

The cause is still being investigated.
