REDDING, Calif. – Cows were on the loose on the side of southbound Interstate 5 in Redding Tuesday morning.
The CHP said around 8:50 a.m. four cows were headed towards Cottonwood Stockyard for auction and ended up on the freeway. The owner of the cows called the auction yard to have some people, including cowboys, wrangle them.
UPDATE: Traffic is now returning to normal near the southbound I-5 Cypress on-ramp after there were cows on the right hand shoulder.
