Pleasant conditions are returning for your Friday, and it's going to get even nicer this weekend! Some scattered showers will still be possible today, with the majority of the wet weather expected to linger in the mountains. There is a decent chance for some light showers in the Redding area early today, but most of the valley is expected to stay dry. Temperatures have dipped into the mid 40's in the valley overnight, and into the 20's to 30's in the mountains this morning. A jacket will be a good idea for this morning, but you'll also want to make sure you'll be comfortable when we warm up this afternoon. Winds will be out of the South to 10mph early today, and then shift to become out of the North to 10mph later this afternoon. High temperatures will end up in the low to mid 60's in the valley, and mountain areas will end up in the 40's to 50's this afternoon. Snow levels will be down to around 4000', but we aren't expecting any substantial amounts of snow to fall today. Mountain roads will be slick, and you're advised to use caution if you do need to travel through the mountains.

We're going to be dry and warmer on Saturday. Temperatures will climb into the low 70's in the valley on Saturday afternoon, and mountain areas will top out in the 50's to 60's. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny on Saturday. Clouds will be returning for your Sunday forecast, but temperatures will be very simliar to Saturday. We're projected to stay dry through your weekend, but more showers will be returning towards the start of next week. There will be a chance for showers along the Coast late Sunday night, and then showers will move back into Northern California on Monday. Tempertares will drop back into the mid 60's in the valley on Monday. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to return for your Tuesday, and temperatures will end up in the high 50's to low 60's in the valley. Dry and slightly warmer weather is projected to return to our area on Wednesday of next week.

We head into the holiday weekend on a slightly cooler than average note, but that will change quickly on the 4th of July and on Sunday with more heat and stronger breezes coming.
