Clearing skies and warmer temperatures are on the way in your Thursday forecast. Most of the active weather from yesterday is now tracking South into Southern California this morning, but there will still be a slight chance for a shower popping up in the Northern Sierra through this afternoon. The clearing skies have allowed temperatures to become cooler overnight. Valley areas have dipped into the high 30's to mid 40's, and mountain areas are starting out in the teens to low 30's this morning. You're going to want a jacket on your way out the door. Skies will continue to clear through the day, and sunny skies are expected for most areas this afternoon. Winds will be up to 10mph out of the North, and humidity will stay above 45 percent. High temperatures are projected to end up in the high 50's to low 60's in the valley this afternoon, and into the high 30's to low 50's in the mountains.

Conditions will be mostly dry through Saturday as high pressure builds through our region. There will be a chance for showers brushing across the Northern Mountains late Friday night through early Saturday morning, but that is not expected to spread into the rest of our region. Temperatures will stay above average through Saturday. The next wet system will arrive on Sunday and will bring moderate to light showers to Northern California. Snow levels will be down to around 4500', so travel impacts will be likely on Monday. Roads will be slick for the start of next week. Showers will be possible through early Tuesday , with another wetter system possible towards the end of next week.
