Scattered rain and snow showers have continued across the mountains early today, but are expected to wrap up by late afternoon. Valley areas have dried out early this morning, and are not expecting more showers today. Roads are starting out slick, and drivers are urged to give themselves plenty of time to get to where they need to go this morning. It's quite a bit warmer for the start of your Wednesday, with valley areas starting out in the high 30's to mid 40's, and mountain areas mostly dipping into the mid to high 20's. The majority of showers is expected to taper off by noon, but the Northern Mountains could see some isolated showers lasting into the afternoon. High temperatures will end up in the mid 50's for the valley today, and mountain areas will end up in the mid 30's to low 40's. Winds will mostly be up to 10mph out of the North. All of Northern California will be dry by mid evening tonight.
Dry weather, very chilly low temperatures, and cool high temperatures will be the trend as we head into and through your weekend. Valley areas will bottom out in the high 20's to low 30's, and end up in the mid to high 50's through Christmas Day. Mountain areas will also stay dry through your weekend. Mountain low temperatures will dip into the single digits to low 20's for the next several mornings. High temperatures in the mountains will mostly top out in the 30's to mid 40's for the next week.



The next chance for showers will return to the mountains on Christmas night, but may hold off until the day after Christmas.
