Downtown Chico streets are closed for bicycle race

This Sunday, some Downtown Chico streets are closed for the Chico Master's Cycling Team's Criterium Stage Race.

Updated 9:53 a.m. Sunday, Mar. 31, 2019 - The Chico Stage Race is called Northern California's premier stage race for the 2019 cycling season by some. The producer is AMain Cycling.

The event consists of the Thunderhill Circuit Race, Paskena Hills Road Race, River Road Time Trial, and the Downtown Criterium. The downtown Chico event will keep several streets closed in downtown Chico until 7:00 Sunday night.

CHICO, Calif.- On Sunday, March 31, some Downtown Chico streets are set to close for the Chico Master's Cycling Team's Criterium Stage Race. 

There will be plenty of cyclists on the streets, so drivers should be on the lookout. 

The following streets will be closed from 6;00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Sunday: 

  • Broadway St. & Main St. between 2nd St. and 7th St.

  • 3rd Street and 4th Street between Salem St. and Flume St.

  • Wall St. between 2nd Str. and 4th St.
