Downtown Chico Christmas preview

In case you missed it, the Chico annual Christmas preview and tree lighting happened on Sunday evening.

CHICO, Calif. - The City of Chico was glowing with over 2,000 LED lights by the end of the weekend thanks to their annual Christmas Preview on Sunday, Nov. 24.

The Christmas Preview has been a Downtown Chico tradition since 1978. Downtown merchants roll out a red carpet and present their holiday offerings, decorations, along with refreshments and entertainment. 

Santa Clause attended for a visit and photo opportunity with kids.

After the Christmas Preview, there was a celebration of light in the City Plaza at 8 p.m. including the Community Christmas Tree Lighting. City Plaza was glowing from over 2,000 LED lights during the lighting of the Christmas Tree.

The popular Chico holiday event helps local businesses and wrapped up around 8 p.m. on Sunday.
