REDDING, Calif. - Downed power lines have prompted a road closure on Shasta View Drive.

Shasta View Drive is closed between Hartnell Avenue and Highway 44.

A vehicle hit a power pole Sunday morning making the lines fall which caused a power outage in the area, including the traffic signal at Hartnell Avenue and Shasta View Drive.

With Redding Electric Utility working to restore power, they estimate it to be fully restored around 10 p.m. tonight.

Redding Police are asking people to avoid the area.

Action News Now will continue to update on the situation including when roads are open again.
