UPDATE 7:16 a.m., March 13, Friday - Modoc County deputies have made an arrest in connection to a double stabbing that killed one man, early Monday morning.
Jarrett Bleu Rucker, 48, of Alturas was arrested Thursday by Modoc County deputies.
Deputies say Rucker was one of the two men with whom they found inside a home in Likely with apparent stab wounds, along with Milton Patrick McGarva, who died.
After the stabbing had occurred, Rucker was treated at the scene and was later taken to a nearby hospital.
Deputies say on Thursday they had probable cause to arrest Rucker in the case, which is now being investigated as a homicide.
MODOC COUNTY, Calif. - Deputies from the Modoc County Sheriff's Office are investigating a deadly stabbing that happened in the small town of Likely, early Monday morning.
A call came in about a possible stabbing at the 4000 block of County Road 65.
Both deputies and officers from the California Highway Patrol arrived at the home and found one man dead and another seriously injured from apparent stab wounds, according to the Modoc County Sheriff's Office.
Both men were located inside the home.
On Monday, deputies spent the whole day processing the scene and collecting items of interest related to the investigation.
Deputies believe this incident is isolated and there is no risk to the public.
