Dixie Fire prompts new evacuation order for Lassen County

A new evacuation order has been issued for Lassen County due to the Dixie Fire.

LASSEN COUNTY, Calif. - The Dixie Fire has prompted a new evacuation order for Lassen County. 

The order includes the area north of Highway 44 from the Lassen County line east to Pitville Rd. and north to Blacks Mountain and Forest Services Route 32N02.

People under evacuation orders should leave the area immediately. All previous evacuation orders and evacuations warnings remain in place, according to the Lassen County Sheriff's Office.

Winds will diminish through the day on Wednesday, and we'll stay very warm. Dry and warm conditions will persist through this weekend, but wet and cooler weather is projected to return next week.
