GRIDLEY, Calif. - The 29th Annual Dia del Campesino (Farmworker's Day) Celebration takes place Sunday, October 13th, in Gridley's City Park.
It's hosted by the Hispanic Resource Council of Northern California, which works to improve access to services and support to Spanish-speaking citizens and to promote sensitivity to cultural differences.
The Dia del Campesino celebration runs from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. and it's free.
There will be music including Mariachi by Vanessa Ochoa of Sacramento, Dancers, and food.
The Mexican Consulate of Sacramento and an Immigration Attorney will be on hand to answer questions, and as many as 50 agencies will be represented. There will be free health screenings and flu shots and more than $2,000.00 in free prizes.
