Detectives identify 'strong person of interest' in Los Molinos murder

Tehama County Sheriff’s investigators have identified a “strong person of interest” in a Los Molinos homicide.

LOS MOLINOS, Calif. — Tehama County Sheriff’s detectives have identified a “strong person of interest” in a Los Molinos homicide.

Detectives said that person is currently in custody in a neighboring county on unrelated charges.

88-year-old Loreen May Severs was killed and her 91-year-old husband, Homer Glenn Severs, was seriously injured in a stabbing attack in their home on Josephine Avenue on May 23.

The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office says it will release more details when the Tehama County District Attorney’s Office files charges.
