CONCOW, Calif. – A Concow woman told Butte County Sheriff’s Deputies that she shot her husband during a domestic dispute, deputies announced Thursday morning.
Deputies said evidence from the investigation proved that the female was the victim of a domestic violence incident.
On April 11, The female victim told deputies that she and her husband, 30-year-old John Williams, took a drive on Saturday afternoon. During the drive, the couple got into an argument. A physical fight took place, resulting in Williams getting shot.
Williams was flown to a local hospital where he was later discharged, deputies said. Williams told deputies that he “blacked out” after consuming alcohol and did not remember the fight.
Deputies said throughout this investigation, they learned several individuals were in the area where the incident occurred. Deputies are asking anyone who had contact with Williams on April 11 to come forward and contact Detectives Brian Parsons or Brian Mollath at 530-538-7671.
The investigation will be forwarded to the Butte County District Attorney’s Office for review.
