UPDATE: Deputies Found Missing Elderly Man

UPDATE 4/12/2018 3:36 p.m.

Paradise Calif.—Thomas C. Umble has been found safe. He is being reunited with his family.

Paradise Calif.
—According to the Butte County Sheriff’s Office Thomas C. Umble is missing.

He has been missing since Wednesday afternoon around 1 p.m.

He is described as a white male, 76 years old, 6’6”, and 200 pounds, with red hair, a white beard, and glasses.

He was last seen wearing jeans, a button up long sleeve shirt, and black shoes.

He was traveling with his black and white Border collie names Toby.

His vehicle is a white Isuzu Trooper.

According to Sheriff’s Deputies, he was reported missing by his wife Wednesday evening after he did not return home after driving up to the snow line.

Deputies drove up the hill as far as they could and were unable to find Umble.

Search and Rescue has been called out.

Multiple four wheele drive vehicles, snow mobiles, a snow cat, and the CHP helicopter have all been actively searching.
The seach is continuing today.
